This page contains the homework for the course. The question numbers refer to the question number in the 9th edition of the course textbook. If this differs from that in the 8th edition, the number in the 8th edition will be written in parentheses immediately afterwards. For example, if the question was 7 in the 9th edition but 12 in the 8th edition, I would write 7 (12).

Recall the homework policy: There are two components. One of the questions in bold type below are to be submitted in class on the Tuesday after they are set (you may choose which question you submit). All homework questions are for preparation for the weekly quiz, which will take place at the start of the Tuesday class. The homework score will be comprised up of your scores on both components; each holds equal weight.

You are encouraged to work on more than just the questions posed below. The more practice you have, the better you will understand the concepts. I will be more than happy to discuss the (non-submitted) questions during office hours.
