Biography

Born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, Benjamin Lantz traveled to the mountains for his undergraduate and master’s programs at Northern Arizona University where he also played collegiate tennis. Ben received a bachelor’s in both mathematics and geography and a master’s in pure mathematics. After teaching at Northern Arizona University for three years, Ben decided to get his PhD at the University of Rhode Island, obtaining his degree in mathematics during the early stages of the pandemic. Ben’s research interests primarily lie in graph theory and combinatorics; however, he is also highly interested in group theory, linear algebra, and number theory.
